Nowadays, more and more people engage in traveling for the various activities that go with it. Some people love touring cities, sightseeing at museums or temples, food tripping, hiking and camping at the mountains, while some just enjoy soaking themselves in water, or doing water activities.
Sabang Daguitan Surf Camp, an emerging beach resort in Barangay Sabang my hometown Dulag in Leyte, serve up a good spot for people who love recreational activities, water sports like swimming, surfing, and kayaking, and making memories with family and friends. And speaking of adventures and making memories, I, being the adventurous and water lover that I am, together with my younger brother, did not miss to visit it when I went home last June (2017).
Basically, I just wanted to see the place and swim in the beach, but on the day we came, it seemed like it was going to rain. It was kind of cloudy and the waves were big and strong. I tried a couple of times to get my whole body wet but then my fear of waves just wouldn’t permit. (I developed it after I almost drowned a couple of years ago when I and some friends went swimming on a bad weather.) My brother, on the other hand, wasn’t in the mood to swim so we took photos instead.
Here are the photos we took. (My apologies for the bad quality, though. 😌 ):

I love how the place is greeny, the plants and the trees, and especially the Bermuda grass. As soon as I saw the kayaks, I couldn’t contain my excitement as I had never tried it before. We rented one and made the most of our visit by kayaking together, and by taking turns since we were not able to enjoy the beach, and we don’t know how to surf. Also, swimming in the river wouldn’t be a good idea.

It looks like a paradise for watersports there!

Sadly, only surfing, kayaking and of course swimming can be done there. -_-

Wow, this is just a perfect place to commune with nature. I have not done kayaking and surfing before and it has been a dream of mine. And this might be a place I should try to make this dream come true.

Seriously? I’ll believe you haven’t done surfing as it’s pretty a hard thing for most, but for kayaking? Hmm.. I guess you should visit my hometown then. 🙂
